Kneeing
- Part One

Preparation A big mat is put against the wall and fixed by two students.
Doing the exercise A and B stand parallel to the mat facing each other. The distance to the mat should be about 50 cm. The two students have an argument. Suddenly B seizes the shoulders of A and pushes her against the mat. Student A counters at once with kneeing and pushes B back. Then she runs away.
  The Details:
Step 1: The argument
Step 2 and 3:
B seizes the shoulders
of A

and pushes her against
the mat.

Step 4 to 6: A knees..
then pushes B back...

...and runs away!

Important!

  • The kneeing should be done beside the body of B, so she can´t be hurt.
  • When A is going to push B back, she should move away from the mat and bring the pelvis forward in the moment she pushes.
  • If B is much taller than A, the kneeing won´t work.  A then defends herself with a kick to the knee/ shin, or, if one hand is free, with a punch into the genitals.
